Can a dogs "gay" tail be safely surgically fixed to meet the breed standard?

Before I am inundated with answers along the lines of why would I mutilate my dog for my own vanity please understand that I ask "Can it be done" not "It will be done"
Answers:
Yes. However I'm not sure why you would want to do this as the breed standard is a show standard and breeding standard. A surgically 'improved' dog is still not eligable for showing and a non breed standard dog is not good breeding stock even after surgical improvements.
LMAO

your dog loves Unicorns
no 'breeds' should have their tails docked
Yes the gay tail can be neutered as well.
Of course it "can" be done. Doubt you will find a vet who will do it though. Things have changed and vanity surgery is frowned on. Of course you could always do it yourself and risk prosecution for animal cruelty .
Is a gay tail rainbow colored?
Surgically docking a dogs tail is a painful procedure. There are a lot of veterinarians who won't do tail docking at all as it violates their personal morale. Others will do it only if the dog is a few days old. You'll have to check with your vet or local veterinarians to see if they'll perform the procedure.
You just a fascist. I suggest loving our dog for his own. If your penis was different from your dogs specifications, would you want some done to it that would hurt just so he could be happy?
Haha gay tail.

How old is the dog? It should have been docked at birth if it is the breed standard. As for docking when adult, I suppose it could be done but it sounds terrible. I'm against any docking being the breed standard. Nothing nicer than a dog wagging his tail, not a stump.
y would u want that done? you need help!
Your dog is not a show quality dog. The breeder that you got him from would have realized that, if you had bought from an ethical, reputable breeder, and should have sold him to you as a pet-quality dog. This means that the dog is not show quality and should not be bred.

As to whether the dog can be altered, ask a vet. It is probably prohibited by your breed club and ethically, should not be done. However, I get the idea that ethics are not a priority in your life or else you'd be happy with a gay tailed pet.
Yes, the tail can be surgically fixed with success, it depends on the breed of your dog. This is only necessary if your dog comes from a breeder and you want to destinate him to competitions and exhibitions and the ideal age to do this is before 1 or 2 months old. I suggest NOT TO TAKE YOUR DOG TO SURGERY if it's not really necessary. Although a succesfull surgery is very possible, all surgeries are risky, so i repeat: if there's no need, I suggest not to do it. Good luck!
Is your dog a gay homosexual? you must be so proud, dont chop his tail off man you sicko, take him down the powerhouse on a friday night and watch him grow as an individual, dont stifle his gayness, embrace it, let him be the big gay poof he really is beneath that glossy coat,,,
yes it depends on what area you live in because tail docking, dew claw removing, and ear clipping is illegal in some counties.
i have a dalmatian whos breeder had his dew claws removed as a pup, and a doberman who's breeder (on our request) had her tail docked but would not remove her dew claws.
go on the net and check to see what does where,
good luck.
as its tail docking your after, that and dew claw removing should be done as close to possible after birth. like days after birth.
NOT 1-2 months as some nutter has already tried to tell you.
its painless, so dont worry about that.
xx
No it can not be fixed.
People, this is not a tail docking issue!! A "gay" tail is a tail that is carried too high when a dog moves, and it is a fault in breeds that do not call for a "gay" tail!
Some of these tail curl up and over like a Husky tail.

They cannot be surgically corrected. They are a fault and do not bother showing a dog with one, because judges HATE gay tails!! It detracts from the outline of the dog and the movement.

CANNOT BE FIXED as it is not due to a break or any other issue that needs "fixing".
Live with it.

Any everyone knows that if you HAD it fixed in some way..it would be a surgical correction and that DISQUALIFIES the dog from competition!!
I suppose it 'could' be done but no vet would agree to doing it since if it is purely a pet there would be no reason to put a pet through painful and expensive surgery and if it was a show dog, the corrective surgery would disqualify it.
