Boxer or Beagle?

should i get a boxer or a beagle? Why?
Answers:
Beagle. Mine is amazing.
Get a boxer, beagles howl
get a beagle, they're so cute.
beagles r the one that look like hot dogs right?
Depends on what YOU want.

Beagles are friendly with all ages, would never do as a guard or protection dog and would gladly greet any stranger as a friend. Beagles will keep your children company on rainy nights and expend endless energy while playing in the yard with them.

A boxer will do everything a beagle will do - in a somewhat larger package. The difference is that a boxer is an excellent watch dog and wil be protective of you and your family - as well as a grat companion and playmate.

But a boxer is a bigger dog, requires more space, more food, more water and might take up the whole bed. Beagles will fit nicely curled behind your knees or sharing your pillow.
I've always had beagles, but I don't easily recomend them as pets. You really need lots of patience and room for them to run, because they really need the exercise, seriously. They have to smell everything, sometimes twice. They are BEAUTIFUL dogs, most are hard to potty train. And other breed of dogs can master basic commands by the time they're one, well, beagles can take 2 years to train basic stuff. Not because they're stupid, it's quite the opposite, they are very very intelligent and they want to do their own thing. I would go with the boxer if this is your first dog. Please.
I think this really depends on what you want from your canine companion. :)

The boxer is going to be good, if you have a lot of time and room for exercise, and can be demanding. They need to have a lot of attention. On the good note, normally, they are less of barkers, and make good pals.

The beagle will require less room, but about the same amount of attention. Also, they can be barkers, with a sharp yapping howl. They are less stubborn than the boxer and generally easy to train.

We just got a dog, and I chose a mix breed beagle. :) All the boxers we looked at were jumpy and hyper, and a beagle is definitely more comfortable to cuddle with.
It depends on where you live. A beagle has an inbreed desire to dig, its part of its breed. And if you don't have a backyard where the dog can dig, than a beagle is not for you. A boxer is my preference cause they are more fun. They are generally a goofy dog with wonderful characteristics. I took a dog training class and learned about different breeds of dogs.
get a Bogle a mix of boxer and the beagle so you have both kind of dogs
get neither, they make me sick, cause i am allergic. but i like boxers better.
forget those, get a golden retriever or a great dane! Goldens are well-behaved with decent training but need exercise and Danes are just huge couch potatoes, but I think they'd need some exercise, too. I saw a one yr. old Dane at a horse show this weekend and he was pretty well behaved. When a couple girls ran by, he started to dance around a little (he wanted to play) but he didn't take off after them. He was better behaved than almost all of the little lap dogs there.

If you must choose a boxer or a beagle..get a beagle and name it Shiloh!
i have a beagle. but he is very hard to take care of. i love him to death but i wouldnt reccomend a beagle.
Trust me, get a boxer! They are not aggresive in any way like they are made out to be, and you really can't know how special they are until you get one. If you live in Texas or California, I work with a Boxer Rescue organization that rescues them from shelters and then tries to find them homes, so maybe you could contact us..but it's pretty rare that you live in one of those two out of 50 states. NCBR.org .Boxers are the most amazing dog breed ever. They are total family pets, and they will ALWAYS make you smile! They have certain qualities about them that other breeds simply don't have, it's sooo unique, I can't even describe how special this breed is.
I like boxers.
Beagles howl, and can be more destructive. They are known to be nippy. They can be stand off ish.
Boxers are mellow friendly happy dogs.

Both have potential medical problems.
I have a Boxer and she is the best family dog that anyone can ask for. She is always on the alert is there is someone strange is around and if she is unsure of them. I don't have a problem with her digging and never have. I have to say that she is the best dog that I have ever owned.
I prefer Beagles over boxers. Beagles are sweet and loveable and generally have a good personality. Don't get me wrong, I like Boxers too, however, Boxers seem to have more health problems than a Beagle. Good Luck.
