HELP!
Answers:
try reading this page ther is not much you have to do!
http://www.cpvh.com/articles/36.html.
but tell your friend not to expect much money from it as puppys will eat him/her out of house and home
you should have mated her if you have no clue any sensible owners would have resurched it first rather than just think of the money they would be getting if the bred from their dog shame on you
dont worry the dog will know what to do when its time, and if there seems to be a problem seek a vet
I Ain't Never Birth no Babies..
No really ask a vet or take the animal to the Vet..if done incorrectly the dog could die so see a professional
Read this link all the answers are in in and you will not have to wait for all the other answer that say "take her to the vet"
http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?.
You would be best to leave her to it. People mulling about will only make her nervous. Keep a quiet check on her, she knows what to do instinctively.
make her a (den) a spot that you want her to give birth put blankets towel(that you dont might getting bloody) when she is ready she will spend alot of time there. she will know what to do but you might have to interfear and help with removing the sacks off of the babys.
The mother will know what to do. as people have said, just keep a close eye on her. If you do not seek a vets advise, then just watch out when the little ones are born that the cord is not around the neck and that the film covering the baby is gone (the mother should remove this herself. Otherwise all should be ok. email me is you have any further problems or concerns.
Usually dogs will give birth to puppies just fine. However, you need to make sure that she has a clean, sanitary and warm place where she will be giving birth. To help the dog out a little, you could stay with her and stroke her head and give her a saucer of warm milk. When she starts popping out the babies, catch them as they come out, and get them dry and warm. Clear the placenta and birth fluids away, and basically, just keep the dogs comfortable and warm. You wouldn't want them to get sick or catch a cold.
If you are very unsure about this procecss, you might want to take the mother to a vet, or animal hospital, where they would take care of it for you.
If you need additional resourses, and quick, go on google search engine, and type in birthing puppies.
good luck! Hope this is a fun and stress free experiance for you!
Hey, when the puppies are born, tell us how many, and what colors!!
she'll do fine on her own, u might not even know when she has them til after. congratulations!!
Hi,
May i suggest you buy the book of the b*tch, which covers whelping.
Do not leave her on her own if you think she is close to whelping, she could get into difficulties and you may lose both b*tch and pups.Observe from a distance, she should have a whelping box in a place where she feels comfortable, somewhere quiet where she won't be disturbed. The pup should arrive within about 20mins to half an hour of each other,if she goes any longer than 2 hours ring your vet for advice.Make sure your vets are aware that she is due to whelp and get an out of hours number.
Good luck hope the pups arrive safely.
give her a spot (like a box to give birth in) and put it in a room. she will let you know when she is going to be having pups. when they are ready they will pant hard, not being able to sit still, whining alot, and acting like she will be taking a poop(grunting). when she has them let her do it unless something is happening. they can do it by them selves. just watch her and she will be fine. make her comfortable and make sure that she has water near by. good luck
OK you need a box for her to have her babies in and put newspaper in it, I should tell a vet in case things go wrong, after there born mum will look after them.best of luck.
i would watch becuase my uncle breads them they would try and eat there pups make sure u keep a good watch on the dog . be very careful
