our female british bulldog who is 10 months old does not seem to eat that much, we have taken her to the vets and he does not seem that bothered, but the breed are really ment to be "chubby" and she really is not. is it normal for a dog not to that hungry?

Hi no your vet is right not to be concerned as long as the dog is not showing any signs of being ill.The dog you have should not be fat but just well covered as Bulldogs are not fat.*Stocky* but not fat.Your dog will be fine.Regards Jake
perhaps your dog does not,like what you feed her!! try changing her food!!
try feeding it different types of food like and mashing it up you could try getting different branded foods and you could even try human foods but i would also go to the vets just incase because it might be something serious.hope this helps and hope your dog starts eating healthily again.
you should go back to your breeder and check the body type of the parents, if ur dog is a smaller frame than the typical churchill bulldog this is quite normal, bulldogs do not come in one body shape and size which some people don't realise, The churchill bulldog is often not the typical shape of a bulldog. My parents are registered bulldog breeders and we have bulldogs ourselves we have a male which is very 'small backed' which makes him look slimmer compared to our other bulldogs. This is normal. But if your dog doesnt seem to eat try experimenting with different foods a favourite for our dogs are a few tins of tuna with some dry mixer. Also i would check your dogs teeth and mouth to make sure everything is as it should be , any problems here can lead to problems with the dogs apetite. One last suggestion do you feed the dog at specific times of the day, as oppose to leaving food down allday , this will help the dog to get used to eating regularly.

my bulldog is also not greedy ..don't worry she will gain weight . At the moment its better for her bones to be not so "much "
Your dog may simply be a slim dog. If your vet isn't worried, then you shouldn't be too worried. However, if she starts to lose weight or you notice anything weird in her stool or about her stool, then she needs to be rechecked. Don't change her food on the recommendations of strangers on the Internet. This could lead to more problems than it's worth.
English Bulldogs aren't fat. They have a layer of skin and that on top of their stocky build, makes them possibly percieved as fat. Your dog is a teenager. She still has some changes to go through.
If you are overly concerned, or you bought her as a show prospect, then call your breeder and have her talk you through this. Otherwise, watch her weight, have her spayed ASAP (if she's not already), and have a great pet. Enjoy! : )
no such breed as 'british bulldog' it is simply a bulldog. If the vet is happy weith her and you can feel her ribs but not see them then she is fine. I have never had a greedy dog so I guess your greedy ones were the odd ones.
Give her time,she is still at the age where she is growing 'up' in the next year she will start to grow 'out' and probably become more the traditional bulldog shape. As long as she eats regularly exercises well and is generally fit and happy don't worry too much.
