Breeder Fraudulent Practises?

We suspect a breeder of advertising one dog, and sell another one, and keep on advertising the same dog, over and over. If we ask questions, they cut us off, can't get them to be honest with anyone! What can be done to protect future buyers from them?
They have a website, but change dates of birth of puppies, and tell you they are "Championship Bloodlines" but won't let you trace it.
HELP!

Unless you have been victimized by them, not much.

Check their names against membership in the National Breed Club for that breed. (Find the breed on the AKC website, pull up the page on it, go to the left and find "National Breed Club>'

If they are a member, contact the club.

The AKC is an outside shoot - they never do much about anything - after all, have to keep those registration fees pouring in.
If the animals are subject to harm, notify the local or state humane resources of this for their own investigation.
Call the AKC and report them there maybe they could do something.
Report them to the proper authorities IMMEDIATLY! These kinds of people are usually involved with those horrific "puppy mills". Please get them shut down ASAP! They don't care about the innocent lives in their posession, they only want to make money.
If they are AKC registered dogs, report them to the breed contact person to get the ball rolling.

Take screenshots of their website, to document their lying.
That is a common problem with buying puppies online. They steal show pictures from other people to advertise their pet quality puppies. It IS fraudulent, but I don't think there is much you can do unless they are your pictures, and even then, they will just still others.

The answer is, don't buy a puppy from them. Why anyone would buy a puppy over the internet without really getting to know the breeder is beyond me. For the people that are stupid enough to buy a puppy online from someone they don't know, live and learn! Scams are everywhere, people need to start using their brain and take responsability for their own stupid decisions.
That is why you NEVER, NEVER,NEVER,NEVER, but an animal sight unseen. This is not a new thing. It has happened over and over again. You always go and see the puppy and the parents and the place they come from. Otherwise, you get scammed! And I bet you totally got rooked on the price! These sties always offer overpriced puppies that are poorly bred at best. Do you think anyone who had a good quality litter with champion bloodlines would be selling it over the internet??

The only way to protect future buyers, is to eduate them on the risk of buying online!!.
I can tell you that from what I have seen, few if any of these puppies are registered with the AKC. Mostly because then they would fall under that AKC's care. And it is easier and cheaper to register them with the CKC or another bogus registry.
If they are AKC registered, do not expect much help there.
