Can anyone give me some advice about Mini Doberman Pinchers?

Answers:
There is no such thing as a mini Doberman. A Doberman is a Doberman. What you are thinking of is a Miniature Pinscher which is a totally seperate breed from the Doberman.Matter of fact the Miniature Pinscher is an older breed then the Doberman.

Miniature Pinschers are very active. They need to be carefully trained and get plenty of exercise. Unless carefully bred they can have health (luxating Patella, seizures, thyroid, heart) issue and temperament issues.
a high strung biting machine.
They can be really good dogs to have if they get the right training while they are puppies.
although their only small they think their doberman size and tend to be very full on and can be snappy towards strangers. a firm owner is needed. a little dog with a big big attitude. but can be a teddy bear once you get to no them.
there are many breeds which look like the doberman pinscher but as for Mini Doberman Pinschers the name may refer to the minature pinscher which is actually the older breed by about 7 years. You could also have a German Pinscher. though they typically are red. I can oly assume that you have a Minature Pinscher. if so they have a tendency to be energetic due in part to the terrier blood in their development. Go to akc.org or ukcdogs.com for breed standards. you can also cantact me for more information on the pinscher at reispinscher@yahoo.com
They do not like children. They bark alot. And they are Miniature Pinschers. They are in no form or fashion related to the Doberman Pinschers. The Min Pin was around long before the Doberman. I have one that I adopted and he is great. He gets jealous easily but he loves me so much. I wouldn't trade him for anything.
