Can Dogs be?

Can dogs be gay? Not to offend anyone. I have a male and my neighbor has a male both Chihuahua's and every time my dog plays with our neighbors he gets violated. Is this normal because I thought dogs could tell the difference between male and female.

Much of the humping you'll see among puppies as well as among adult dogs is play. Some of it expresses dominance, but that's not always the case.. sometimes it is their way of handling excitement..
If a dog persists in humping another dog in a social situation, distracting the dog who's doing the humping into another activity is a good idea. For one thing, it's best that a dog not get obsessed with humping. Besides the potential annoyance to others, it can even result in physical irritation. When you consistently interrupt the humping, you prevent it from becoming a strong habit in the dog.

Secondly, being humped can become oppressive to the dog who is the target, so that's another reason to interrupt. This is a common complaint in situations where dogs get together to play, such as dog parks. Just distract the humping dog, without punishment of any kind. %26lt;%26lt; http://www.veterinarypartner.com/content.
It's not a sexual thing when it between two male dogs. It's strictly a dominance issue.

The dog humping the other dog is trying to show he is the alpha dog.
contrary to popular belief being gay is not limited to humans. Sexual acts between animals of the same gender is quite common. Dogs, monkeys and recently there has been a news article regarding this particular subject.
There has been noted homosexuality in many different animals.
yeah, they sure can be
Yes mine did that to other male dogs; but he also did it to females. It freaked me out at first but when I asked people I knew they said same thing.
i would have to say dominant issues,
i'm not sure, cause i used to have a dog that's like gay. i can tell because you know when they f*ck, the male like gets on the female, well, i used to have 2 male dogs and then, sometimes, i'd see my other male dog getting on my other male dog. this happened a couple of times. i thought it was normal..but then i found out that other dogs don't do that. so..there's probably gay dogs too!
The dog on top is the dominate one, its not sexual.
Is it possible? Yes.

Is it likely? No.

It's most likely a dominance issue.

You don't need to worry unless your puppy starts whining about his wieght and listening to show tunes. :D (Just kidding.)
Gone are the days when homosexuality is considered to be an abnormality. Through the years, homosexuality has become to be considered a sexual variance. Homosexuality is the same as heterosexuality. The only distinction are the parties involved.

Homosexuality is a byproduct of a person's emotion, and response to stimuli. This involve several aspect of an individuals life (physical, psychological, cultural, etc.). HENCE, homosexuality exists to species who have emotions, feelings, etc. and your dog is not excluded. I can give you the assurance that your dog's behaviour manifests those of homosexual. Don't worry however, cause your dog is not abnormal. Take care of your dog.

BTW, homosexuals man can identify which is male and which is female, yet why does homosexual male despite knowing the gender of their partner (male) gets into intercourse with them. I guess the same applies to your dog. The bottom line is, your dog's a homo.
mabey.
yes
When two male dogs hump each other, it has nothing to do with being 'gay'. it is they way male dogs show that they are the dominant male (alpha male). Tell your neighbour it isn't anything to get offended over.
