can anyone tell me how to train a puppy?

she won't go to the toilet anywhere but in the hall where we have sheets down for her ,i've tried moving them but she still goes in the hall,i think it's in her head now that this is her toilet and i want to get her out of this habit, also she is hyper in the mornings and keeps biting my feet and the ends of my trousers and whining, any tips?
Answers:
Maybe shes biting to say hey i wanna go outside an pee lol..puppies shoud be taken out often and especially directly after food or drink, generally sooner or later they catch on. As for the biting a firm no and push away or a spray water bottle give her a quick squirt again with the firm no.
One thing you can do with the going in the hall is when she does hit her once with a rolled up newspaper and tell her bad dog. When she goes outside and goes reward her with a treat when she comes in. About the hyper in the morning play with her when you get off work or whatever and wear her out. What kind of dog is she/ If she is a lab they will be hyper as puppies.
you have to get rid of the smell of urine in the hall, you cant smell it but she can, bleach it. when she goes to pee there make a loud noise, shout or clap or both, then put her outside, when she wees make a huge fuss, good girl!.
take it to a dog training school! or you can get very helpful books that gave great methods that actually work! try your local book store
She's just being a puppy. When she goes to go in the hall, pick her up and put her where you want her to go. It will take a while, but she'll get used to it.

My puppy's 5 months old and he's always hyper in the mornings, it's just his scatty time. I take him out for a walk, it's just excess energy. The biting of feet and trousers is just her playing, it's what she'd do with her litter mates (trousers excluded!).
My pup was the same, you just need to keep telling her no, she'll stop EVENTUALLY!

You need anymore advice mail me!
my puppy was the same, being a staff/ rottweiler cross didnt help, but keep with it! every morning and whenever you are home, take tour puppy outisde until it goes to the toilet, when it does, give it lots of praise and a treat, keep doing this and eventually th edog will learn that peeing outisde is good because they get rewarded, with the morning thing, my dog is kept in the kitchen overnight and we have baby gates to keep him in, when we get up, we dont go to him firsdt thing, so he knows he has to wait for some attetion, this may be hard but stick with it and it will work!! hope i could help
May I suggest a book called the Dog Whisperer by Jan Fennel. I used this to good effect training my Jack Russel Harry (real name "No! Harry". Probably available on Amazon for around 拢12. A good read and excellent advice. Hope this helps.
Every time your puppy wakes up pick her up and put her straight on the lawn, ones she goes for pee give her a treat and praise her a lot.
As trough the day, when you see her going to the 'usual' place make a loud noise, high pitch to destruct her then pick her up and straight outside, don't forget to praise her after well done job.
Do not punish her for still peeing there, she tought it was OK to do that and doesn't know any different now so you will only confuse her.
Once she knows she gets treets and praises for doing it where she should she will work for it hard.
Do use desinfectant or vinegar on the area every time she makes a mistake.
Good luck with the training, and I am sure very soon she will be able to hold it until you take her out.
In the morning she may have to pee thats why she is nipping you remove the sheets and take her the same time every day to keep repeating the pee process should help puppy get the idea that this is pee pee time.. Dont falter . keep up the same time every day and this should catch on. If you want puppy to do something you must physicaly show puppy. they learn by doing rather that saying it . eventually they will learn the word pee pee but they must be shown first Happy puppy kisses.
First of all, this is all typical puppy behaviour so don't get stressed by it. It won't take long to teach her the right things to do and the key ingredients are consistency, patience and being firm but kind.

Starting with the toilet training - I don't know what you have on your hall floor but if it is carpet it is very likely that it keeps the scent of her toilet even when you move the training pads. I suggest that the quickest way to sort this problem out is to block her access to the hall when she is unsupervised. I use child gates across doorways with my pups - They are great because the pup can still see you if you are on the other side. When she cannot return to the area, clean it up thoroughly. Use a carpet cleaner if necessary. Remember that her nose is amazing and if you don't clean it really well she'll continue to think thats her spot and keep returning! Its a bit easier to clean it if its hard flooring.

Now she can't return there, you must retrain her to go where you want her to go. That means supervision and treats. The better your supervise, the less mistakes she'll make and the quicker you'll get her going in the spot you want. You probably are familiar now with her routine of going after meals and when she wakes up and so on, so pay particular attention at these times taking to the place you want her to go and staying with her until she goes. As soon as she does, praise her and give her a treat.
If you catch her doing it in a wrong spot, don't get cross its just because she doesn't understand the new rules yet. Just say NO! firmly and take her to the right spot. Again stay with her til she goes and then praise with a treat.
If you find a mistake after the event, just clean it up thoroughly. Don't punish her because she'll get confused.

With regard to the biting at your feet, this was my puppy's favourite game too. They do it because your moving feet are great fun and they are excited to see you. It took a week to stop him from doing it - in some dogs it is instinctive behaviour as it is part of the chase and kill mind set. The method I found that worked was to stop moving as soon as he lunged for he feet and say no! loudly and firmly. Sound cross. Push her away firmly but not with fast movements because she may think you are joining in. Do not trying to push her away with your legs and don't hop around to escape her sharp teeth because this will be every so much fun for her and encourage her to do it again.
Never ever tolerate her biting at your feet because you can't be bothered this time to stop her because you are busy. If you allow it to go unchecked it will just get worse and be harder to stop. Just remember that shes not doing it to be mean but because your feet are so attractive!

Your final comment was that sheis hyper in the mornings. Dogs get hyper when you are reunited with them after a seperation (like when you come home or wake up in the morning) because they are trying to get your attention. If you watch a group of dogs interact with each other you will notice that the senior or boss dogs ignore this behaviour from the pups or other dogs lower down in the pecking order. This is because the rule in dogs minds is that only the boss gets to decide when they give the lower dogs attention. It is a smililar rule with food - the boss eats first and then the others eat. Again it is the same with walks - the boss decides when walks happen. All dogs naturely think in this way. If your dog is the one who makes the decision on any of these areas you are letting it think that you want it to be the boss in your household. This leads to other behaviour problems.
So, when you come down in the morning, do not give your puppy attention. When she is leaping around and biting at your feet tell her NO! as described above. Go about your business putting on the kettle or what ever you are up to. Ignore her until she has calmed down. Then give her attention. The point of this is that although she wants your attention and you want to give it, you must help her to learn that it will only happen when she is quiet. Respond to the hyper leaping just fuels more hyper leaping!

Goodluck! Most puppies are pretty crazy and by following these methods you'll shape yours into a well behaved and not too hyper young dog!
they say a female dog is harder to train than a male dog I have a rottweiler dog and he was great to train I know you probably cant smell the urine but a dogs sense of smell is something like a million times stronger than ours so that is what she is doing marking her scent once a dog is fed or drank water you should always put it outside for a wee as it will almost certainly need to go if the wee thing whines that is also a sign so you should put it out now my dog nudges me on the back if it need to go if I am lying down we really do not give a dog credit on how smart they really are. I hope this helps you and good luck
Start off with removing the sheets completely and putting her outside alot!
and if she does go to the toilet in the hall (if you catch her) show her wats shes done and in a stern voice tell her naughty then put her outside!
Try ignoring her for the first 2 or 3 mins wen u get up if she bites tap her on the bum point at her face and say NAUGHTY! then ignore her for a bit longer!
You need to get her out of these habits b4 she turns 2 if not there's no turning bak!
Dont bother with training classes the dog only gets confused who its master is! And they are still disobedient!
get her out to a park where she can get the scents of other dogs this will distract her it takes a lot of time to break the habbit but if you know when she does her jobs get her walked and she will start.but it takes time .
