Bernese Mountain Dog Breeders?

I'm interested in getting a Bernese Mountain Dog female puppy. I had one as a little girl and I adored it.
So Im moving to Ft. Drum with my husband and was wondering if there was a breeder around there.or CT, MA, or VT.thank you!
Answers:
Start with the BMD Breed Club. All breeders on the club list have to sign a Code of Ethics about breeding practice like health exams before breeding and other things.

Since BMD's have a lot of health problems, you need a very very reputable breeder - not a backyard, gee what a neat idea breeder.

The BMD also does breed rescuse and rehome.

Love BMDs - really wanted one but I can't take the fact that on average they only live to 8 and it is not uncommon for them to drop dead at 4-5-6. Incredibly high cancer rate too. Talk with your breeder about the longevity and health issues in their bloodlines.

I'm not a breeder of these magnificent Dog's, but I just wanted to say I absolutely adore these dog's, I have always wanted one, they are beautiful. I wish you luck in finding a breeder, I hope you manage to get a puppy.
