Does anyone own a Bernese Mountain dog? Can you tell me if it was difficult to house train your puppy? Are there any issues with this breed that you can tell me about? Thank you!

The male stands 25 to 27.5 inches at the shoulder,and weighs 80 to 115 lbs.Females range from 23 to 25 inches,and 65 to 100 lbs.It is a smart dog whom with the proper training could do well as an obedience dog, therapy dog,search and rescue,etc.He can become destructive if he doesn't have the proper attention though.Life span can be as little as 7 years.This breed is known to have major health problems such as elbow and hip dyeplasia,bloat,several types of cancer,autoimmune diseases,and kidney problems.
These are a few facts about this breed, as with any animal you should do extensive research to make sure that this animal is best for you.And also this breed of dog is not very popular as say a golden retriever so you will have to pay for its rareness.What I mean is it'll be more expensive.So do more research and good luck.
