Bad dog!!?

My dog can't stop chewing on the furniture and on the toys my parents said if it keeps happing shes gone any tips on how to keep her from stop chewing?
Answers:
Go to walmart.get a spray bottle. Mix water with some cayenne peppers (powder). Spray her/his mouth when caught chewing. (it won't make them sick) Remember, you can't punish a dog that hasn't been caught in the act, otherwise they won't know what they did.
Keep her in a crate when everyone is gone from the house.
Make sure you give her plenty of attention, and give her some dog toys and chews.
Take her to obedience training.
If she is a puppy, chewing is natural, it helps them cut new teeth. You will just have to watch her constantly while you are home with her. Make sure she gets plenty of exercise and love. Good luck!
buy the dog some toys or get the dog a big bone to chew on if its a big dog if not then just get it a little bone.that will probably help and keep the dog busy.
spray bottle training nuf said! j/k I'd say use a spray bottle with water in it. use direct stream spray setting. When the dog does or chews something it's not supposed to do sprayit in the face and say NO! firmly but no loudly.
praise her when she dont, scold her when she does. when she does, grab her collar, put her in a room with nothing or something like that, and then if she wimpers, leave her in there. keep her in the for like, 3 minutes.
Buy her some bones and chew toys and if you catch her chewing on the furniture punish her you may not want to punish her,but I know you don't want too get rid of her so set some rules. and don't be afraid to punish her. just don't punish her too bad.
When you catch your puppy chewing on something inappropriate, you should re-direct his attention to a toy that is his. When he gives up the illegal chew-item, praise him profusely, and give him the appropriate chew-toy.

Teething puppies need to chew, and this usually means on anything they can reach.

A spray that works well, and is sold in pet stores is called Bitter Apple. Most dogs and puppies don't like the taste, so they will not chew what has been sprayed. From personal experience I can tell you that it does not harm the finish on wood furniture, and it does not have a strong smell.
If she is a puppy.well they just chew a lot. Crate train her. Put some toys in the crate while you are gone.
give it some thing that it won't get in trouble for chewing on
Tough one this. If she is below the age of around 18 months then she will chew.

You can wipe lemon juice on the furniture she chews.

You should always have plenty of dog chews for her. Don't leave her on her own for too long either cos she'll get bored and want to chew.

Buy her a kong and use it for when you need to go out. A kong is a tough rubber toy that you can pack full of dogs food treats or both. She will have to work hard to get the food out and it will keep her busy.

Also make sure you dog has a very long walk or a good run in a safe place before leaving her so that she will be more tired and less likely to chew.

This phase will pass.

Oh.remember, she is not a BAD dog, she is just doing what all dogs do.

Good luck.
I have some advice for you. Please email me with the age/breed of dog, and I can advise you further.

First start crating her when you are not home, it well keep the furniture and her safe. Second, makes sure she has plenty of things she can chew on like toys, especially the Kong toys are great, or rawhides. Chewing is a very natural behavior for dogs, they do it more when they are stressed or bored. So also make sure she is getting plenty of exercise and attention. She will be more content and will lose the pent up energy. There are also sprays you can buy at the pet stores like Bitter Apple or Natures Miracles that will leave an awful taste in her mouth. It will not hurt her or the furniture. Cayenne Pepper also works will. The dog will start to associate those items that are sprayed as awful tasting and will not want to chew on them, but start to prefer the better tasting chew sticks or rawhide.
